Associate Professor
Dr. Haberman is a clinician-scientist studying how dietary and microbial factors interact with the
host in health and disease, with a focus on Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She employs large
clinical datasets, omics technologies including microbiome research, and basic studies involving
patient-derived models to better understand disease development, create predictive models,
and identify new treatment targets. She is a pediatric gastroenterologist, leads the Sheba
Microbiome Center, is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, and
also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
