Dr. David Pitt is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Yale School of Medicine with expertise in multiple sclerosis (MS) research, including MS histopathology, experimental rodent models, and glial cell biology. He is funded by NIH (NINDS and NIAID), the National MS Society, and the Department of Defense. Dr. Pitt is Co-Director of the National MS Tissue Bank, sponsored by the National MS Society. He also provides clinical care at the Yale Multiple Sclerosis Clinic. His lab maintains a brain bank with over 100 MS and control specimens, focusing on histopathological studies of the human central nervous system. Current work includes advanced multiplexed imaging of MS lesions with over 40 antibodies, computational spatial analysis, and multiomic profiling of single nuclei from MS tissue.
