About Me

Dr. David Fajgenbaum is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and one of the youngest faculty members to receive tenure at Penn Medicine. He is Founding Director of the Center for Cytokine Storm Treatment & Laboratory, Co-Founder and President of the Castleman Disease Collaborative Network and Every Cure, and author of the national bestseller Chasing My Cure. A patient himself, Dr. Fajgenbaum discovered a repurposed treatment for his rare disease, idiopathic multicentric Castleman disease, and has advanced 13 other repurposed treatments. His nonprofit Every Cure, awarded over $100M, aims to unlock the full potential of FDA-approved drugs for new uses. He has published nearly 100 papers in journals such as NEJM, The Lancet, and JCI, and has been featured by the New York Times, TODAY, and GMA. Dr. Fajgenbaum holds degrees from Georgetown, Oxford, Penn, and Wharton.
