Dr. Yael Haberman is a clinician-scientist and Associate Professor at the Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at Tel Aviv University, and a pediatric gastroenterologist who leads the Microbiome Center at Sheba Medical Center. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Haberman’s research focuses on the interaction between dietary and microbial factors and the host in health and disease, with a particular emphasis on Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She leverages large clinical datasets, multi-omics technologies including microbiome research, and basic studies with patient-derived models to deepen understanding of disease development, build predictive models, and identify new treatment targets.
