  • Director, Colton Center for Autoimmunity, Tel Aviv University

Dr. Uri Nevo completed all of his degrees in physics and served as a postdoctoral Fulbright Fellow at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. He has been a faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Tel Aviv University since 2009, with an additional appointment in the Sagol School of Neuroscience, and has served as Chair of the Department of Biomedical Engineering. He serves as Director of the Colton Center for Autoimmunity at Tel Aviv University.

Dr. Nevo’s research focuses on the development of innovative methods for portable MRI systems and the study of biophysical aspects of complex systems, with particular emphasis on the immune system and the nervous system. His work includes agent-based modeling for personalized prediction of immune responses to immunotherapeutic antibodies. Beyond his research, he co-founded the Odyssey Program—originally established as President Peres’ Program—dedicated to nurturing Israel’s future scientists and inventors. He is also co-founder of the biotechnology companies Lifegraph and Agile MRI.
