Dr. Stephanie L. Thorn is an Assistant Professor in the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, and Associate Director of the Yale Translational Research Imaging Center (YTRIC). She received her PhD in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
Dr. Thorn’s research focuses on cardiovascular imaging, using PET, SPECT, and CT to develop new approaches for interrogating molecular pathways, quantifying blood flow, and characterizing alterations in myocardial function. Her translational research program specifically investigates ischemia-reperfusion remodeling, myocardial infarction, and right ventricular heart failure.
