Dr. Ori Elkayam is Director of the Institute of Rheumatology at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov). A graduate of the Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at Tel Aviv University, she completed her internship and internal medicine residency at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center, followed by a rheumatology residency at Tel Aviv Medical Center and advanced training at the Institut de Rhumatologie, Hôpital Cochin in Paris.
Over a career spanning more than four decades, Dr. Elkayam has held progressively senior roles at Tel Aviv Medical Center, including Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, Head of the Rheumatology Day Care Center, and since 2013, Head of the Department of Rheumatology. She has served as Associate Professor of Medicine at Tel Aviv University and has participated in over 50 international scientific conferences, with an extensive publication record in peer-reviewed rheumatology literature.
Dr. Elkayam is an active member of the American College of Rheumatology, EULAR, and GRAPPA, and served as President of the Israeli Society of Rheumatology in 2011.
