- Professor, Department of Immunobiology, Yale School of Medicine, Yale University
Dr. Noah W. Palm is a Professor of Immunobiology at Yale School of Medicine. He performed his doctoral research with Dr. Ruslan Medzhitov and his postdoctoral training with Dr. Richard Flavell, both at Yale University.
Dr. Palm’s laboratory focuses on illuminating the myriad interactions between the immune system and the gut microbiota in health and disease. His recent work has identified how skin damage signals mediate allergic sensitization to spatially unlinked antigen, and has demonstrated that the subfornical organ serves as a nucleus for gut-derived T cells that regulate behavior — findings that open new avenues for understanding the relationship between gut immunity, the microbiome, and the brain.
