Dr. Merav Lidar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Tel Aviv University, and Director of the Rheumatology Unit at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer — Israel’s largest center for clinical studies in rheumatology.
Dr. Lidar’s clinical and research expertise encompasses Familial Mediterranean Fever and other autoinflammatory diseases, systemic lupus erythematosus, spondyloarthropathies, and autoimmune diseases more broadly. She leads Sheba’s CAR T-cell therapy program for autoimmune diseases, placing her at the forefront of therapeutic innovation in rheumatology.
She serves as President of the Israeli Society of Rheumatology and is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the ASAS international group. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has served as principal investigator on a broad range of national and international clinical trials.
