Dr. Marcelo Ehrlich is a Professor of Cell Biology in the Shmunis School of Biomedicine and Cancer Research at Tel Aviv University, where he also serves as Vice-Dean for Research of the Faculty of Life Sciences. He holds BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees from Tel Aviv University — alongside a BMus — and completed his postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Ehrlich established his laboratory at Tel Aviv University in 2005, with a focus on intracellular trafficking, signal transduction pathways, and virus-cell interactions. His current research investigates cell-autonomous immune mechanisms and their modulation in tumor cells, antiviral responses, and oncolytic virotherapy. His laboratory is funded by the Israel Science Foundation, the German Research Foundation, and the Rosetrees Trust.
