Dr. James E. Hansen is an Associate Professor of Therapeutic Radiology at Yale School of Medicine, Chief of the Gamma Knife Program in Therapeutic Radiology, and Co-Director of the Yale Stereotactic Radiosurgery and Body Radiotherapy (SRS/SBRT) Fellowship Program. His clinical practice and teaching focus on tumors of the central nervous system.
Dr. Hansen’s laboratory investigates mechanisms of autoimmunity with the goal of strategically developing cell-penetrating variants of autoantibodies for use in molecular therapy. He founded the Yale startup Nucleicon to advance his research findings in autoimmunity toward the clinic.
