- Associate Professor, Cell Research and Immunology, The Shmunis School of Biomedicine and Cancer Research, Tel Aviv University
Dr. Eran Bacharach is a Professor of Molecular Virology in the Shmunis School of Biomedicine and Cancer Research at Tel Aviv University, where he heads the S. Daniel Abraham Institute for Molecular Virology and serves on the Steering Committee of the Colton Center for Autoimmunity. He represents the George S. Wise Faculty of Life Sciences at Tel Aviv University.
Dr. Bacharach’s research focuses on the molecular biology of RNA viruses, virus-host interactions, and the innate immune response to viral infections. His laboratory has made key contributions to the study of retroviruses, respiratory RNA viruses, and oncolytic viruses, including real-time imaging of viral entry and the discovery of novel viruses. His extensive expertise in research design, immunology, and virology brings an important interdisciplinary perspective to the Colton Center’s mission of advancing innovative autoimmunity research.
