He is the founder and former head of the Israeli SLE Registry, former Chairman of the Boards of the Israeli T-Cell Vaccination Center, and currently heads the Israeli Cell Therapy and Gene Therapy Committees.
His research focuses on autoimmunity, SLE, autoimmune arthritis, and type 1 diabetes, with a particular emphasis on identifying target antigens in these diseases and developing antigen-specific therapeutic modalities and novel drug delivery systems.
