Dr. Gil Amarilyo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Tel Aviv University, and Head of the Pediatric Rheumatology Unit at Schneider Children’s Medical Center of Israel in Petah Tikva. He completed a Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship at UCLA Health before returning to Israel to lead the Pediatric Rheumatology Unit and the Service for FMF & PFAPA Diseases at Schneider Children’s Medical Center, and previously served as a pediatric rheumatologist at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center.
Dr. Amarilyo’s clinical and research expertise centers on juvenile idiopathic arthritis, autoinflammatory diseases including Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) and PFAPA syndrome, Kawasaki disease, and juvenile dermatomyositis. He is actively involved in national and international collaborative research networks, including the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA), and has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications in pediatric rheumatology.
