Dr. Alexis Ogdie is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology and Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, where she directs the Penn Psoriatic Arthritis and Spondyloarthritis Program and serves as Director of the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CCEB). She received her BS from the University of Minnesota, her MD from Georgetown University, and her MSCE from the University of Pennsylvania, completing internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship training at Penn.

Dr. Ogdie’s research program integrates pharmacoepidemiology, electronic health record data, and patient-reported outcomes to advance care for patients with psoriatic arthritis, axial spondyloarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and related spondyloarthropathies. She leads pragmatic and treat-to-target clinical trials including the EVOLUTION and DIPSA studies, and her work has shaped national and international guidelines for the diagnosis, treatment selection, and long-term management of inflammatory arthritis.

Through her dual leadership of the Penn PsA/SpA clinical program and the CCEB, Dr. Ogdie has built translational infrastructure bridging large patient cohorts, real-world data, and rigorous trial methodology. She is a frequent advisor to federal and industry partners on outcome measures and real-world evidence design, and is an active collaborator within the Penn Colton Center’s clinical and translational autoimmunity programs.
